Accolades, Accomplishments, and Highlights: April 2022 graduate, United States Capitol Police Academy

I will say this to anyone else in my shoes, it's never too late to start school. I was at a crossroads in my life, about to turn 30, and I felt as if I needed to accomplish more.

My wife Jenna was my inspiration to attend Â鶹ֱ²¥. She recently graduated from the nursing program and now works as an emergency room nurse, and Â鶹ֱ²¥ helped her accomplish that goal.

I found that attending school online was extremely convenient since I also was working full time. I could work at my own pace, and typically, I did as much work as possible to get ahead and stay ahead. Â鶹ֱ²¥'s online classes took the stress away from working around tight schedules.

Anytime I needed help, the staff was super friendly and helpful, especially my advisor Mrs. Maratta and at Student Account Services.

I learned so many new things attending Â鶹ֱ²¥, and I'm excited to continue learning; every class is a new adventure where you connect with people from all walks of life.

After earning my associate degree in homeland security, I plan on transferring to University of Maryland Global Campus or George Washington University to finish my bachelor's. I want to chase my dream job of being an analyst at a federal agency.
