We’re pleased to welcome visiting students who want to take Â鶹ֱ²¥ classes to earn credits to transfer to their home institution.
Visiting students are current college students who are enrolled at another institution and are not pursuing a degree at Â鶹ֱ²¥. Our visiting students often take classes during our summer or winter terms while they are on break from a four-year college or university, with the goal of transferring the credits to count toward a bachelor’s degree program at their main school.
Taking classes as a visiting student is a fantastic opportunity to both earn college credits and to complete required courses—all at a fraction of the per-credit cost of a four-year institution.
The first step to becoming a Â鶹ֱ²¥ student is to apply for admission.
You’ll need to create an account on our application portal. Fill in the fields with your information.
In the drop-down menu under “Choose the statement that best describes you,” select the option for “I am a visiting student, attending a different institution.”
To ensure the best fit with your current knowledge and abilities, you can either submit an unofficial transcript from your home institution or take the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Placement Test.
Before registering, you’ll need to meet with an academic advisor for expert guidance on how to make the most of your time as a visiting student at Â鶹ֱ²¥ and to register for classes.
If a Â鶹ֱ²¥ course you’d like to register for has a prerequisite, you’ll need to provide an unofficial transcript from your home institution showing that your previous coursework fulfills the requirement, as well as complete Â鶹ֱ²¥’s Prerequisite Waiver with Advising. If your home institution’s course is not currently in Â鶹ֱ²¥’s database, you’ll need to provide that course’s syllabus so that Â鶹ֱ²¥ can verify that it meets the requirements.
