The Âé¶¹Ö±²¥’s Global Initiatives Committee is inviting students, staff, faculty, and the wider community to the Latino Educational Panel and Festival on March 29, 2023, 2-4 p.m., at the Leonardtown Campus, Building A, Auditorium. This event is open to the public. The afternoon of events will include music, conversation, and a reception.

Dr Stephen Johnson, Assistant Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Chair of Visual and Performing Arts, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥
Panel
The panel discussion is titled “Intercultural Tales: Learning With Baltimore’s Immigrant Communities.” This is a digital storytelling project that showcases immigration stories in Maryland. It explores immigration, borders, and language and students are an active part of driving this learning.

- Dr Tania Lizarazo is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC),
- Dr Thania Muñoz D. is an Assistant Professor of Spanish, Latin American and Latinx literature and culture at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County,
Reception
A taste of Mexican culture and food will be provided after the ensemble and panel by Taqueria Los Compadres,
