Distinguished Alumni Award
The College of Southern Alumni and Friends Connection honors former students who have distinguished themselves through outstanding professional achievements, exemplary service to the community and/or exceptional service to the Â鶹ֱ²¥.
Nominations are invited from alumni, faculty, staff, trustees, friends of the College, and the community-at-large. Alumni may nominate themselves or others.
A selection committee comprised of alumni will review all applications and make a selection. The nominee will be sent to Â鶹ֱ²¥’s Foundation Executive Committee for final approval. The award will be presented annually at Spring Commencement.
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes an alumnus who has excelled in the following areas:
- Outstanding success and distinction in their chosen field/profession
- Commitment to the community and charitable outreach
- Continued interest in and service to the Â鶹ֱ²¥
CRITERIA:
- The nominee has attended Â鶹ֱ²¥ and as graduated with a degree or certificate
- The nominee has demonstrated exemplary service to the community and/or has provided exceptional service to Â鶹ֱ²¥ through volunteerism or financial support
- The nominee has demonstrated personal and/or professional achievements in their field
NOMINATION PROCEDURE:
- Complete all information requested below.
- OPTIONAL - Submit a copy of the candidate’s resume/CV and/or supporting materials at alumni@csmd.edu (i.e. newspaper clippings, testimonials from coworkers/community members, letters of recommendation, etc.)
- The Â鶹ֱ²¥ Development Office must receive all nomination forms and supporting materials by April 11, 2026.

AWARD:
The winner will receive an award presented during Spring Commencement exercises in May 2026 and will be featured on the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Foundation website.
